The Bot Gaiden Steelbook Edition for PS5 bundles a full-color steelbook, game disc, and soundtrack. Here's what you get, how pre-orders work, and who it's for.
Quick answer
The Bot Gaiden Steelbook Edition for PS5 includes a full-color steelbook, the physical game disc, and the soundtrack. It's a numbered Premium Edition release, so if you want the steelbook and soundtrack in one package, this is the version to pre-order.
What makes this edition different from a standard copy
Premium Edition's numbered standard releases share the same core goodies for consistency, but this Steelbook Edition adds a full-color steelbook case and the soundtrack alongside the game disc. If you already own the standard edition, the steelbook and soundtrack are the main reasons to double-dip. If you're buying new, this is the version that gives you the collectible packaging without hunting for separate extras.
The pre-order window and what 'limited quantities' means
Pre-orders for this edition opened on August 5, 2024, and run for a one-month open pre-order period. After that window closes, stock is limited to whatever quantities remain. The release date is still to be determined, so you won't have a firm ship date at checkout. That's normal for small-press physical editions, but it does mean you're committing before you know exactly when the game arrives.
A note on the PS5 version and the catalog listing
This listing is for the PS5 version, even though it appears under Nintendo Switch Games in the store catalog. If you're shopping specifically for a Switch copy, check the product page options carefully before ordering. The 'Choose Your Version' option may show other formats, but the Steelbook Edition described here is the PS5 release.
