Een gedetailleerde blik op de Long Gone Days Collector's Edition voor PS5, met unboxing-hoogtepunten, inhoud en aankoopadvies voor RPG-fans.

Quick answer

The Long Gone Days Collector's Edition for PS5 is a thoughtful package for fans of narrative-driven RPGs who value physical extras like an artbook and soundtrack. It's not a standard game with a plastic case – it's a curated set that emphasizes the game's themes of human connection and war.

What makes this Collector's Edition different

Unlike many collector's editions that include a statue or steelbook, Long Gone Days focuses on items that reflect its story: a 72-page artbook, a luggage tag (tying into the travel theme), and acrylic chibi-standees of the characters. The physical game disc is included, but the real draw is the original soundtrack and the artbook, which deepen the experience of the game's real-world setting and language barriers.

The edition is priced at USD 70.99 (catalog comparison price USD 99.99), which is competitive for a collector's edition with this many physical extras. If you're after a premium box with a large figure, this may feel modest – but for the price, it delivers good value for the content you get.

Trade-offs to consider

The edition does not include a steelbook case or a large statue, which some collectors prioritize. The extras are relatively compact: stickers, a luggage tag, and small standees. If you're looking for a display piece, the artbook and soundtrack are the main highlights.

Also, the game itself is a narrative-heavy RPG about a sniper questioning his role in a war. It focuses on dialogue, language barriers, and civilian perspectives rather than combat-heavy gameplay. Make sure the story style appeals to you before investing in the collector's edition.

Decision rules for the Long Gone Days PS5 Collector's Edition

Buy if you value narrative extras: The 72-page artbook and original soundtrack are the main attractions. They provide context and art that enhance the story-driven experience.
Skip if you want a statue or steelbook: This edition lacks large display pieces. The standees are small acrylic figures, and there's no steelbook case. If those are dealbreakers, look elsewhere.
Check the game's tone first: Long Gone Days is a real-world RPG about war, language barriers, and civilians. It's not action-heavy. If you prefer fantasy or combat-focused RPGs, try a demo or watch gameplay before buying. If you're unsure about the story, a standard edition or digital version may be a safer entry point.
